Laserfiche Desktop is a standalone document imaging system that offers powerful Laserfiche features on a smaller scale. Desktop provides scanning and OCR, full-text indexing and search capabilities, as well as compatibility with a variety of Laserfiche plug-ins, such as Bar Code Recognition and Zone OCR. A portable desktop which not only acts as a client connected to a server, but which also manages up to 16,000 pages on its own, Laserfiche Desktop is the ideal solution for professionals with modest document imaging needs.

Laserfiche Desktop simplifies document management at every step, beginning with document input. Laserfiche accepts documents from multiple sources: scan paper documents or directly import word processing files or faxes. Using state-of-the-art OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology, Laserfiche converts scanned images into word processing text, eliminating manual data entry.

Automated indexing with user-customizable index fields and full-text indexing renders every word in every document searchable without the time-consuming process of hand keywording.
