ReCodification/ReFormat

Revitalize Your Code of Ordinances;

Find Up-to-Date Information More Quickly!

A well-maintained Code will serve your local government for many years.
A well-maintained Code will serve your local government for many years, but with the passing of time, eventually it may need to be updated and modernized.  A ReFormat project or a ReCodification project are two ways to revitalize your Code and make it easier to quickly locate accurate and up-to-date information.

ReCodification:

Add new legislation and update and modernize your Code; identify problem areas in need of updating with a comprehensive editorial review.

• Your Code will be updated with any missing or new legislation.
• Experienced editors will perform an editorial analysis of your legislation, thoroughly reviewing your entire Code and all new legislation for conflicts and  inconsistencies, both internally and with applicable state laws, and provide a written report with advice and suggestions for revising and updating your legislation.
• Revisions and changes may be made as you deem necessary.
• Your Code’s format and organization can also be updated and modernized to make it more easily used.
• New Code books, as well as eCode360, the online version of your Code, will be provided for the use of officials and residents.

ReFormat:

Add new legislation and bring your Code up-to-date in a modern and user-friendly format.

• Ensure that your Code is current by adding missing or new legislation.
• Your entire Code will be checked for internal conflicts and coordination problems between the various ordinances.
• Your Code can be converted to an 8 ½-by-11-inch page format, and made more functional and accessible to the reader, and better allow for continued growth of your legislation in the future.
• New Code books, as well as eCode360, the online version of your Code, will be provided for the use of officials and residents.
