The Laserfiche Barcode Plug-in helps in the scanning process by automatically breaking up large groups of documents. Barcoding saves valuable time while maximizing the number of documents that can be processed daily.
The Barcode plug-in reads barcodes for automatic separation of batch scanned documents. Then documents will be placed in assigned folders and assigned index field templates. Index field templates can be populated from external databases or preassigned data, for less manual data entry.
With the ability to read the 7 most commonly used bar-code types, both vertically and horizontally, the Laserfiche Barcode Plug-in is the simple answer to getting the most out of barcoding. Then, information can be associated with each barcode, allowing automatic population of template fields from other databases, or based on a Barcode Association File. The Barcode Association File can designate to what folders scans are sorted, as well as template information used to extract individual document information.
