| Reason Nominated: A life long resident of Cobleskill, Sheila came to the village offices at age 19 as a part-timer. Sheila has grown and learned the inner workings of a municipality from the ground up. She has always strived to improve and be the best she could be for the people of Cobleskill. In October 2001, Sheila earned the title of Master Municipal Clerk through the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Sheila is a committed person who does what is needed to get the job done right while adding true poise to the term 'working mom.' Sheila is a living reference to the history of the community and local government. She is the backbone to the function of the village as a whole. She is always there to fill a request, find a document or direct both personnel and public in the right direction, no matter what the question. Always pleasant, helpful, and willing to go that extra step to make everyone's job a little easier. Her untiring patience is that to be admired. She truly has the quality of life and people foremost in her mind while always holding close to the village's legal avenues. Sheila is a first-rate employee, supervisor, colleague and friend.
