She has been elected to this position since March 1, 1973. During her service for the City of West Fork, she has also served as President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and District Director for the Arkansas City Clerks, Recorders/Treasurers Association.

She is on the Education Committee for ACCRTA's Institute held every September. Also she has served on the legislative committee for ACCRTA. During the 33 years as Clerk/Treasurer, she has seen the City grow from a population of 350 to 2042; one fire truck to having six trucks and an agreement with an adjoining city for fire protection; one part-time police officer to six full time officers and the city has started a park system to benefit the community as well as the surrounding area. She has worked with six mayors in those 33 years. One of the six mayors passed away while talking to her in the office. By the time she retires, she will be the longest full time (40 hours a week) clerk in the State of Arkansas.
