I am nominating Stephanie Thomas for several reasons. For one, she came to our small city here in Riverdale clueless about how divided our City Council is. I have seen her withstand many personal attacks on her character and on her professionalism. Yet, she is still a trooper. She is always smiling. She stepped right in, and it is as if she has always been here. She is very well spoken and a great listener. No matter what she is doing, she will stop to listen to the people who come to see her. She KNOWS her job and I believe that is what people are afraid of. They want to make her look bad, but this little young lady knows her job and I encourage her to keep growing. I see greatness, and one day the city will see her with my eyes because she IS greater than what Riverdale gives her credit for. I PRAY FOR RIVERDALE and I pray for Ms. Thomas. I bet she never imagined she would have to deal with these kinds of people. I don't know how she does it. I would have walked away on day one.
