Education. Voter education (proper way to use equipment, how to register, who may vote, how to do a write-in vote, absentee ballot, protect your right to vote, etc) should be mandated in every school curriculum in this country, should be offered in adult ed classes, included in all citizenship classes, and shown at least once every five years on every television network.
Standardization promotes reliability and accuracy.
It's an expensive proposition but certainly do-able.
Yes, in theory, but, and there are many buts beyond the enormous costs involved. I happen to live in Beaver County, PA where the county recently purchased new touch-screen voting machines at a substantial cost. We're not broken, so a fix isn't needed.
We live in a mobile society, therefore, voting should be a generic.
Also simply use paper ballots with marks like Canada nationwide. It is the only honest way to recount and verify by real witneses. No one can verify a machine.
Absolutely. What happened in the General Election last year was an abdomination[sic]!!!!!!!
