Faye Moore and Jeanie Sanders Bring Energy, Insight—and a Little Road Trip Fun—to Texas Clerks
This summer, Texas roads have been buzzing with more than just traffic. Thanks to a series of dynamic learning sessions led by General Code’s Faye Moore and Jeanie Sanders, municipal clerks across the state are gaining a fresh perception of the codification process and the power of online code access.

Since launching the educational initiative, Faye and Jeanie have traveled hundreds of miles to meet with Texas Municipal Clerks Association (TMCA) chapter members, making stops in cities such as Huntington and Wichita Falls. Their sessions, covering the topics “The Importance and Process of Codification” and “Getting the Most from Your Online Code,” have drawn enthusiastic participation from clerks eager to learn and share best practices.
By all accounts, the energy in the room has been amazing. Attendees have been engaged and passionate about serving their communities. Jeanie and Faye have felt privileged to connect with them in person.
Throughout these sessions, Faye and Jeanie have focused on being informative and relevant to the clerk experience in an interactive environment. Offering practical takeaways, their approach has been to simplify complex topics and have meaningful conversations.
Additionally, the road trips have added a level of fun to the whole experience. Getting out into the communities we serve, seeing their unique characteristics, and hearing first-hand what clerks need has been a terrific side benefit. The state has offered incredible natural sights, fun attractions, interactions with wonderful people, and, yes, some delicious food!
With a successful summer behind them, Faye and Jeanie are already looking ahead to Fall, when the learning sessions will continue across more TMCA chapters. Their goal? To empower every clerk with tools and knowledge that make code access easier, codification clearer, and their daily work more efficient.
If your TMCA chapter hasn’t yet included one of these sessions, there’s still time to get on the schedule. Don’t miss the opportunity to bring valuable learning to your next meeting!
